11 - The Black Keys make a stop at home on their tour for a show at EJ Thomas Hall in Akron. The all ages show includes opening act The Royal Bangs, out of Knoxville, Tenn.

12 - Pabsolutely Fest at Royal Oaks with Album, The Cheats, Rebreather, Turbo Lovers, Posture Coach, User Sets Mode, Bob's Country Bunker, The Suede Brothers, The Sweet Ones, Guitar Bomb, Thunderrider and The Pleb. It all starts at 1 p.m.

12 - Opening of Reginald Case: Assemblage at the Butler Institute of American Art. Their Web site says, "This exhibition showcases works on paper and prints from the artists well-known American Icon series which includes imagery of Marilyn Monroe, Elvis and Barbie."

17 - "The Crucible" by Arthur Miller opens at Victorian Players in Youngstown. The production will run through Nov. 2, including two midnight showings.

17 - Hip-Hop for Hip Hop Heads 5 at Barleys. Featuring Kenny Ali, Da Kreek, Mark Malice, Jimmi Pynk, Beat Effeck, Eclipz Jihad, Garbs Infinite, Divine Seven and Evilution. Charlie Staples is sponsoring it, so expect to be served hip-hop with a cup of love.

17 - 19 Three days of drag racing with the Fall Round-up at Quaker City Raceway.

17 - 19 Alright, polar opposite here: It's the Screaming Tiki Comic and Pop Culture Convention at the Eastwood Expo Center in Niles. So far, Adam West, Burt Ward, Julie Newmar (Catwoman) and Peter Mayhew (Chewbacca) are booked.

18 - Janssen Promotions presents As Summer Dies with special guests Prarie Dog Parade, Search the Skies, Reznik, Commit This to Memory, Steel Martyr, Virtue Destroyer, Armoring Akira and MRSA at The Cellar. Finally, a band named MRSA.
