Cedar's Lounge has been a staple of the Youngstown music scene for several decades. Diverse musical acts play every weekend and has been a homebase for many of the bigger names in the area. Cedar's is mom's house for every musician. No matter how long you're gone, you can still come back and things will stay the same - $1 Straub's, Billy behind the bar and a rocking swing night every Thursday.

This place is kind of placid, great scenery inside, really good draft selection. Friendly and courteous staff. The food? Well, I'll let you know after my next visit.
The food is terrible, overpriced, and poorly made. Also there is an unexplainable foul odor.
Cedar's is such a unique place that all college students must experience. When I was a freshman, Swing Night was a girl's night tradition and a lot of fun even if you aren't 21 yet. On other nights, Cedar's can be engulfed in a very interesting and mixed crowd (indie, old guys, music and art students) but it's always fun to see who turns out. The bartenders are always pleasant and the food is good!
